2006 Teaching PA Conference

Childcare

We will coordinate child care with The Evergreen State College Child Care Center student aides. These student aides will be available on-site at the Ramada Inn during scheduled conference activities. The student aides have all gone through background checks and have experience working with children (infants to pre-school age). Materials for entertainment, play and education will be provided. Snacks will be provided. The parents or guardians of the children will pay the student aides directly ($10.00/hour). Pre-registration for child care is required. Indicate your interest on the registration form and we will contact you with more information. To assure that we can accommodate your request, we must receive your paid registration form and request for childcare assistance by January 16, 2006.

Friday evening joint reception

On Friday evening, February 10, we will have a joint reception for the PAT-Net and Teaching Public Administration Conference attendees. The reception will take place at the Heritage Room near the Ramada Inn, overlooking Capitol Lake, and will feature hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.

Bad news for smokers, good news for breathers

Effective immediately, smoking is prohibited in all public areas and work places in Washington, as well as 25 feet from any door, window or vent to such a space. Voters approved the ban in the November 2005 election. We appreciate your cooperation and your patience as we work out the details of living with this new policy!
